Travel Adventures are Worth Having

Park Guell- Gaudi's Amazing Park in Barcelona

Park Guell- Gaudi’s Amazing Park in Barcelona

We recently spent two weeks touring Lisbon, Portugal and several coastal spots in Spain, including Barcelona and the Baleric Island of Palma on a Windstar Cruise.  It was great to drink Cava (Spain’s version of Champagne) and eat Tapas (we call them appetizers, they make meals of them) but as it turns out the best part may have been being out of the US and away from all the political ads for two whole weeks!

We’re really fortunate that we’ve been able to travel outside of the US in recent years.  We’re just getting started on Europe with our 2nd cruise of the Mediterranean in 3 years.  Cruising is a lot like Tapas, you get to sample a few hours in different port cities and decide whether they might be worth an extended trip.

This trip was full of short adventures since we decided to be our own tour guide at most of the stops.  I did hours of research online and would like to thank the many contributors at Trip Advisor – http://www.tripadvisor.com.  Some of our favorite museums and attractions were one’s we read reviews of on Trip Advisor.  I am now in the process of selecting which photos we’ll put into our travel diary, and just updated my own Trip Advisor account, which I invite you to go peruse!  Check out my reviews at http://www.tripadvisor.com/members-reviews/WorthHaving

And remember, you can have an adventure anywhere, you just have to open up to it!
